For my anniversary gift (paper) my husband bought me the Twelve Dancing Princesses Pattern Book. I can't wait to start sewing for the girls. Of course, there are only 10 right now, so really I need 2 more

That's so cool you and your husband stuck to the traditional gifts for the anniversaries! I bet you're going to have a blast sewing your new outfits!

BTW, is it true that leather is the traditional gift for the second anniversary? Just curiuos, heard a blurb about that on TV show once.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">There are a couple lists, the one we have says cotton. But I think there are "traditional" and "contemporary traditional" gifts.

Edit to add: Leather is the traditional third anniversary. http://www.findgift.com/Anniversary-Table/

Thanks everyone for the nice wishes. I hope our next year is as nice as the first one, and that it brings many new adventures. We had a nice day of Nintendo and a sushi dinner.

Ria- I'd love to sew princess dresses together. I think the biggest challenge is going to be finding suitable material. I don't have a stash of it yet.
